The happy HALF-NAKED PORCUPINE

The half-naked porcupine has a 'prettified' site. It is a pleasure to doodle on a beautiful page. It seems that words tumble about with more bounce.

Someone once argued that content is more important than look. Well, I agree but content on a pretty page has a more significant meaning. Besides, it doesn't hurt the content to rest on a fancy page either.

The half-naked porcupine struts about, peering into the world with curiosity. There is so much of daily living to discover. Of happy thoughts and comforting events that are the balm to a sometimes weary soul. Basking in the sun, taking shade under rocks, prancing in the rain - the porcupine sniffs about for what is pleasant in the day.

The half-naked porcupine is happy to be alive and grateful for the little joys that come with life's surprises.

PHOTALK: Dragonfly and freedom

They say that where dragonflies fly, the air is clean. Wouldn't it be wonderful to see dragonflies fluttering about?

I was fortunate to have been given a split second chance to click before this dragonfly flew off.

I like this photo for the poignant message it created. A dragonfly perched on a barbed wire. The repressive imagery of the barbed wire neutralized by the freedom of a winged creature that not even the wire's spike could harm it.

Freedom is relative. One may go through the worst trials, of silent aches and pains of the heart and soul. Tears may flow silently and life may wrench a soul. Yet time passes and hope abounds and that in itself is already freedom. For the freedom to cry and vent out life's frustrations is the flipside to the freedom to be happy, to experience joy in life and to simply just be. Freedom still.

PHOTALK: The Joy Of Ylang-Ylang

Ylang-Ylang

Flowering Ylant-Ylang

A year ago you were a sapling
You savored the rain and the sun shining
I, like a mother, patiently watched you grow
But oh the reward that you sow

Those wonderful yellow petals on the branches
And in the air the scent that dances

Life's patient waiting
For right moments to come happening

None too early, none too late
Perfect as only designed by fate

A reminder to this free spirit
Don't prance ahead, it is best to wait

Nothing in life is out of place
Everything has a perfect pace
